No traveler enjoys the feeling of hopping off the plane, making his or her way to baggage claim, and then finding… nothing. So Delta Air Lines passengers will be happy to learn that they can now track their bags in real time using a new feature on the airline’s mobile app.
Delta now places radio frequency identification (RFID) tags on all of its checked bags, and linking those tags to the mobile app allows you to get a map view of your bag’s last scanned location.
The feature is currently available at 85 U.S. airports and Delta expects to roll it out worldwide “in the coming months,” though when exactly international travelers can use the feature is not yet known.
